Uncharted 3 Multiplayer Goes Free-To-Play

Naughty Dog have announced that the multiplayer component of the latest instalment in one of their key franchises, Uncharted 3, has gone free-to-play… sort of. The Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception Core Multiplayer Experience is a free download that will allow users play the Competitive Multiplayer at no charge up to Level 15 for new players.

Once new players reach the level cap, they will no longer earn cash or XP unless they purchase the “level 25 upgrade” to unlock 10 more levels, or purchase the ability to remove the Level restrictions completely. Just Cause 3 Teased By CEO

Avalanche Studios CEO Christofer Sundberg isn’t quite done with tormenting Just Cause fans yet and has Instagramed another teaser image of an as of yet unannounced project. Judging from the picture, it’s pretty clear to any fan that this project is Just Cause 3.

Sundberg tweeted a much more mysterious and blurry image in early February which could have been interpreted as being from Just Cause 3, but this latest image is fairly solid evidence. We wouldn’t be surprised to hear more about the game come E3 2013 time. Stay tuned for more info.

Capcom Reveal Remember Me Release Date

Capcom have confirmed that their third-person cyberpunk action adventure title set in 2084 Neo Paris, Remember Me, will be released on June 4th in North America and June 7th, 2013 across Europe for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

In the game, players will take on the role of Nilin, a former elite memory hunter with the ability to break into people’s minds and steal or even alter their memories. The game made our 13 Games We’re Looking Forward To In 2013 list and from the above trailer, you can see why.

New Tomb Raider Movie To Be Based On Reboot

Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics are celebrating the release of their gritty Tomb Raider reboot today, but they’re already planning a new silver screen appearance for Lara Croft based on the latest game according to an interview with Variety.

Crystal Dynamics head Darrell Gallagher confirmed that they are working in partnership with GK Films who “are working from this new take that we’ve given them,” claiming that “It’s a good partnership. We’re seeing the challenges through the same lens.”

For those who didn’t enjoy the Angelina Jolie era of Tomb Raider flicks, fret not. Gallagher commented that “It was important for both of us to have a cohesive version of the franchise. We didn’t want to see a film version that was a continuation of the old ‘Tomb Raider’ films.”

Yu Suzuki Thinking Of Kickstarting Shenmue 3

What is undoubtedly music to Shenmue fans ears, reports are in that the series creator Yu Suzuki is considering crowdfunding in order to bring the rabid fanbase their highly craved Shenmue 3.

“Yu Suzuki says he’s thinking about a Kickstarter-like model to fund Shenmue 3,” tweeted French journalist Sebastien Abdelhamid, adding that “Yu Suzuki would also like to continue the story of Shenmue in anime or manga form.”

Shenmue 3 was originally planned to be developed for the console released way before it’s time, the Sega Dreamcast, however it’s ultimate downfall due to lack of sales left the game in limbo where it’s remained for over a decade. Main character Ryo has made several cameos in titles over the past few years and maybe now he can get his proper comeback.

New Screenshots & Info For The Witcher 3

CD Projekt RED have released a massive bundle of new screenshots for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt as well some new details on what fans can expect and how the upcoming game “crowns the trilogy”.

“The Witcher 3 is full of impactful decisions, and gamers will choose between storylines that exclude one another in a single playthrough, ensuring extensive replay value.” states studio head Adam Badowski. “As players travel through the game, they visit lands with their own unique atmosphere, communities and memorable characters.”

This setting changes depending on gamers’ actions not only when completing Geralt’s personal storyline, but also because of his involvement in major local plotlines in each land visited and many other carefully-designed side quests. The main narrative accounts for around 50 hours of gameplay in one playthrough, and the additional stories add another 50 hours of role playing, giving around 100 hours of total gaming time.
